Why do kids actually love this one?

Every Bubblebottle carries original characters by the Spanish artist Mónica Armiño: skaters, ballers, explorers, drawn to make being outside look better than being on a screen. Kids pick their character, and a bottle a child picked is a bottle a child carries.
The hardest part of hydration isn't the bottle. It's getting it opened.
Is it safe?
BPA-free, PVC-free and phthalate-free, across the whole range. Nothing leaches into their water.
The steel bottles are 304-grade stainless with a powder-coated finish. The silicone bottles are food-grade silicone, soft enough to chew on and rated for it.
Why silicone?
Because it's the most underrated material in a child's bag.
Food-grade silicone is non-porous. There is no surface texture for bacteria to grip and nothing for a smell to soak into, which is why a silicone Bubblebottle doesn't develop the stale, plasticky note that a plastic bottle picks up after a month in a backpack. It doesn't hold onto yesterday's juice, and it doesn't pass a flavour on to today's water.
It's also soft, light at 195g, and completely unbreakable. It bounces instead of denting and it lands quietly.
Odourless, hygienic, and impossible to smash. For a bottle that lives at the bottom of a school bag, that's the whole specification.
Will it leak in a school bag?
The lid is built around the assumption that the bottle ends up sideways at the bottom of a backpack under a lunchbox, because that's exactly where it ends up. Leak-proof lid, built-in spout, sealed shut in one movement.

Does it really stay cold for 18 hours?
Yes. Double-walled and vacuum-sealed, so a bottle filled before school is still cold at bedtime.
The same wall does something parents notice faster: no condensation. Nothing sweats onto homework and the bag stays dry.
What happens when they drop it?
They will. That was the design brief.
The steel bottle has a moulded silicone bumper on the base, where almost every impact lands. The silicone bottle has no hard shell at all. It flexes instead of denting, and it doesn't clatter across a classroom floor.

Steel or silicone: which one for my child?
Steel, 18oz / 550ml, for school age and up: insulated, holds a full day of water, built for a bag that gets thrown.
Silicone, 12oz / 350ml at 195g, for smaller hands: soft, light, unbreakable, easy to grip and easy to open unaided.
The deciding factor is usually weight, not capacity. A bottle a child finds heavy is a bottle that stays in the bag unopened.
